So, because An Unexpected Gift comes out this weekend. I’m going to hop over to that for this week’s Weekend Writing Warriors, Snippet Sunday and Rainbow Snippets before going back to my WiP.
This piece actually carries on from the last time I shared a snippet: Tracker has tied a not-the-least-bit-bothered Dylan to the bed and teasing him with decisions of what he might do, the last of which he said was “But which to choose?” (Punctuation a little wonky to fit)
Well, I managed to finish chapter two sometime last weekend, largely due to breaking it at a logical point and moving the rest into a new chapter (oh, that sounds so terrifyingly familiar, please don’t do an IPaB on me). So I’m now halfway through chapter three during this week’s Weekend Writing Warriors, Snippet Sunday and Rainbow Snippets.
This week’s snippet carries on from the previous week’s from chapter two of To Target the Heart, with Darshan bemoaning that his mission in Tirglas is not to “sleep with the locals”.
I would’ve liked to have been able to say that I managed to finish chapter two by the time this week’s Weekend Writing Warriors, Snippet Sunday and Rainbow Snippets sharing came around. But I’ve a little distraction…
This week’s snippet carries on from the previous week’s from chapter two of To Target the Heart, with Darshan still drooling over the oblivious Hamish.
It’s been a while since I joined in on the weekly Snippet Sunday and Rainbow Snippets sharing. Things have bounced about a bit here, but they’re settling down now, which means more time for me to write.
This snippet comes from To Target the Heart, the second main novel of the spellster series that I’m currently writing, which is about two princes falling in love, only for the queen to announce a competition to become her son’s wife.
So, with In Pain and Blood now available to all, I thought I’d switch to something a little different for this week: Such as the unexpected novella that comes after, which’ll be ready in early 2018… if a certain elf would just let me finish it. It was meant to be a short story, but it’s now at 18k.
The snippet is a little longer than the other pieces I’ve recently done for Snippet Sunday and Rainbow Snippets… and a little on the mature side, nothing graphic…
If you replied last week, I’m sorry about not getting over to your blog. My godmother got quite ill and is in surgery today getting her gallbladder removed.
I’m still sticking with snippets from In Pain and Blood releases. And the piece for Weekend Writing Warriors, Snippet Sunday and Rainbow Snippets moves away from the last two weeks and into something a little lighter: This is back when Tracker joined the group, this is the first time he spars with Authril…
And we’re back with more of In Pain and Blood, which continues to grow on me. Will be hitting the next 10k milestone today. Almost feel like taking bets on how big the final first draft will be.
